I usually run it under Win-98 or Win-NT in a DOS box. Before I start, setting an
environment variable (in the same DOS box of course).

set maxhash=74

This ususally allows larger hash tables (74 MB in this case).

But I guess that you have already tried this. May be different under Windows ME
?
