With Linux, you do have Xboard (which is what Winboard is basically w Windows ported version of), so there wouldn't be any need for Winboard. Have you tried Crafty in Windows yet? It's a pretty darn healthy program. If it's not the strongest downloadable program out there, then it's so close that it's hard to measure. My bet's allways on Crafty against free programs, but not against Fritz, Fritz'll have a bit of an upper hand, but they'll still both win some and loose some against eachother. Pete
