Among my chess books is a reprint of the tournament book by Tarrasch, which includes this photo: http://www.cowderoy.com/graphics/jpg/gif6.jpg Maybe the next version of Chessmaster could feature such photos in the historical player's personalities (instead of the helmets)? Btw. this was the tournament, after which the title "Grandmaster" (Großmeister) was introduced for the first time (as I remembered - again - on this occasion).
