If you want to shoot yourself in the foot thats fine. I like most people
who buy chess programs still play the dame things. Your customers want
book and position learners. Not because it gets you a high rating on
SSDF but because it stops repeat losses when we play it. What fun is a
program if I can play the same winning line over and over again.
Anything that you programmers do to make your programs play more human
like we love. Its to late to turn back the clock.
If your going to take a step back you should just fold up shop now and
post your new programs for free on the web.
