It seem that 1. Rd7 Bc8 is a a delaying move only The cute answer to that would be 2. Rad1, and that seems to work nicely. But as for playing it in a game, in blitz and speed chess most probable. In a tournament I would play it if the opponent was a very good chess player, as I would then get to know if I was correct or not, because if I decided to play a second best move and lost I would be sick for a week.
