The point is not that they were weaker than gandalf but that they were weaker than other programs. They scored 0 points against other programs so we cannot learn from the results if gandalf is better or weaker than the other programs and we can learn only that the 2 programs that it won are probably the weakest programs in the tournament. When I read that gandalf won 2 games I guessed that the results suggest that gandalf is not only better than the 2 programs that it won but also better than other programs. I understood that My guess was wrong after reading more information. Uri
