Hi Steffen, I use the following additional rule: When the wrong pawn is th a pawn, I don't assign the position a maximal value of draw when the opponent has a b-pawn. The same for h and g. This was pointed out by Uri, when I asked a similar question in CCC. Recently, I made the rule a little bit tighter, so that the b-pawn of the opponent must be on a square, that still gives the a-pawn a chance to change files. This seems to work in the position you posted, and also in the position Bernhard has posted as a followup. Good luck, Dieter
