Subject: J.Merlino: Cm8 without sound

I managed to have the sound card software installed.
Also, I applied the download patch and edited Cm.ini and Cmdefault.ini.
Cm8 gives a bluish green splash box at startup.
In the hardware shop they said that some software is not supported by the
bargain sound card they sold me.
Is it possible to run King.exe in the old Cm4000, 5000 or 6000 that did not
require a sound card ?
King.exe runs well in WinBoard but it doesn't ponder very deep.
Maybe there isn't much difference in the playing strength with the old versions
when a new patch is applied to them ?
