The Athlon Thunderbird processor was the latest cpu from AMD. I upgraded my K6-3-450 to an Athlon Thunderbird 900 Mhz processor a few months ago for $331. That included the motherboard,CPU, and fan. I still used my PC100 ram from the old motherboard. I'm sure it is cheaper now. I recently purchased 256 M DIMM for $53. Prices are going down. Jim
