Fritz announces Mate in 16 instantly when you have the proper tablebases. You must have a problem with one or the other. You can test your tablebases by trying the same position with another program like Crafty. If you get the same results then you have a tablebase problem. If Crafty works then you have a Fritz problem. Jim
