Have you ever experienced playing a tournament game, fighting hard
for several hours, reaching a tough position with mutal chances -
when suddenly, in one single blow, all of your calculations are
shattered in their foundations?! It feels like a bucket of ice cold
water was thrown right in your face. Maybe the black player had some
feelings of this kind. Very often it comes down to one being too hasty
with "if I play this move I threaten to take his..., then he *must* move...,
and then I can play...".
Test: White to move has a bucket of cold fluid in his hands, ready
to be thrown. How materialistic are the comps?
The rest of the game further down.
