Hi there, DEEP SHREDDER vs. THE WORLD: http://www.gambitsoft.net/_shredder now the english readme for this match: Play against the Computer Chess World Champion and win valuable prizes! Starting from pre-selected opening positions means quicker enjoyment! The online game DEEP SHREDDER vs. THE WORLD is starting from one of 10 pre-defined opening positions. We want to avoid the possibility that 2 - 3 months are spent on discussions about the latest opening theory or countless sub-variations, before we finally get to the exciting part of the game. The well-known Italian expert Sandro Necchi has selected 10 interesting possible starting positions for the game. You are kindly invited to join the poll by clicking on VOTE Opening. You can also play through the selected variations in the Replay Zone or view the positions at the end of each of these variations at VOTE Opening. Your votes decide how the game will start! Vote for the most popular starting position and win a DGT sensor board worth DM 700! The poll to choose the opening in this game will run for 7 days. By making your choice at VOTE Move you have the chance to win a valuable DGT wooden sensor board. The winner of this prize will be drawn at random from all those who participate in this poll. This will be the first main prize and has been donated by the Dutch company DGT projects. Many thanks to our Dutch friends! Two valuable prizes every week! We have up-to-date chess CD-ROMs as well as other attractive prizes such as the new electronic game collection MILLENNIUM Chess & More. Our News Ticker will inform you about our weekly prizes and the winners' names are published at Winners. The prize draw will take place every Sunday under the supervision of Roland Tröger of Gambit-Soft. Play with the world and win the second valuable main prize! The second main prize (another DGT sensor board!) has been donated by a local bank Sparkasse Trier. When the game is over the second main prize will be drawn at random from all those participants who participated in voting on not less than 50% of the moves in the game. When does the game take place? DEEP SHREDDER will calculate its moves every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On the other days of the week the whole world will be thinking about the next reply. DEEP SHREDDER will calculate for approximately 18 - 20 hours per move on a powerful 1 GHz Pentium III dual processor system, specially acquired for this game. We will always start DEEP SHREDDER's analysis at midnight. How and when can you vote for your move? You can vote for your move selection every Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday between midnight and 8:00 pm at VOTE Move. The current position can always be found at Actual Position.
