Yes, it looks like the books are identical at this point after 1.e4 e5 2.f4 d5
at least from CM5000.obk on - strange, that nobody noticed that earlier. Maybe
the Falkbeer is played too rarely.

Meanwhile I've noticed that it is really easy for the user himself to fix this
(or at least, allowing to play white's moves in the line) using the book editor.
I have compared this variation with a database, and it looks ok at a first
glance, although it certainly is only a very small part of the Falkbeer theory:

1.e4 e5 2.f4 d5 3.exd5 e4 4.d3 Nf6 5.Nc3 Bb4 6.Bd2 e3 7.Bxe3 0-0 8.Bd2 Bxc3
9.bxc3 Re8+ 10.Be2 Bg4 11.Kf2 Bxe2 12.Nxe2 Qxd5 Line

Btw. speaking of opening books: I have had the Tasc Base program for DOS
(included a King engine too) and appreciated it much, that Chessmaster sort of
continued this software in Windows. Wouldn't it be a good way to use the
functionality of CM's Tasc Base access for the programs openings too, not only
to present the user with the "database findings"? I think this was the way the
Tasc Base program worked in the playing part of it. Or a combination of the two
methods (book file and using the database statistics in the opening, somehow)?

In our example, the book hole would probably have been "fixed" when Chessmaster
could have utilised the database findings for it's own play too.

I think, the integration of the Tasc Base is a big advantage of Chessmaster. The
Opening Trees of ChessBase provide similar information like the database
findings, but their trees are different data format, which need to be converted
from the games databases themselves.
