When all programs get sold, some customers may be happy in the first moment, because they are the stupid ones, but after a while they realize that this company has the monopol and can do whatever it wants. like microsoft. its the end of progress when a company is such a big animal. there is no competition anymore and the variety will be decreased. the capitalistic methods are one way street methods. and this one way street is also a dead-end-street, and so the methods. there comes a point , when the critical mass has reached, where the whole building and empire dies. chessbase shows that they are unable to produce a product that gets a world-computer-chess-champion title. with all their efforts, and they pay a lot for this, they are not capable to win. instead of working with a better quality themselves, they pay others to work for them. i don't think this will produce better quality. you cannot buy people. they will not work in the same precise way as they do it for their own fun and with their own passion. if you get bought somebody tries to steal your soul. in the moment you have no alternative anymore, you are not anymore a free person in a democratic world. in this moment you are less than a slave. a slave has to work until he dies. YOU have to work and to PAY for your own work. and you have to pay for it , even when you die it costs money. in a situation with no alternatives, you are not free. you cannot decide. you have no choice. this is not democracy. and it is not capitalism anymore. it is monarchy. and the dictator is the company that has the monopol. brave new world. matrix. 1984. time-machine. its a world where the borg have killed or integrated all other creatures. do you want to be a borg and be a unit in a borg collective ? you get a number instead of your name. and the king(or queen) of the borg eats you for lunch. resistance is futile!
