Humm frank is not updated here ... if you take a look at the chess golem page

you'll  find a list of 9 italian programmers who have already done a playable
engine (+ 2 tools).
I may add that I know 4/5 more programmers who will release their engine
before the first Italian Chess Program Championship (next may, 19)

so we are at least at the third place (bronze ;-)
