OK, so I didn't do soon enough what I should have done (to upgrade), and may suffer personal losses now because of that. but my question still remains- Will the Pent 3 866 be in all ways, better than the k6-3 400, even if the speed for chess program will be only a little more (and how much more? 50%?)? Also, would T-bird 1.2G be inferior to Pent 3, 866, in ANY way? (e.g.multi-media etc.) Again, clear answers would be of great value to me at this time (and to others too, I'm sure). I can't always know enough from benchmark tests, myself. I don't understand it all either, and even if I think I do, I might not know the whole truth. Thanks again, S.Taylor
