The "voting" idea, as I understand it, is actually a "poll" on a
question about computer chess, and not whether CCC should allow posts
relating to any subject matters, or any other aspect of how CCC is run.
So your analogy is not apt. It is more like not allowing ZDNet to poll
people on computers and how they feel about them, because Ziff-Davis
employees would not be the only people to answer. The poll is
informational only, and not administrative. Otherwise, I would agree
with you.
