I realize Pentium4 is a dirty word, as far as chess programs
go, but I got a good deal on one, and took it up. I'm actually
quite happy with the machine.
I phoned a computer retailer today and asked if they would
overclock it for me, and in fact if it's possible. They said
it's possible, but they refused to do the job, fearing I'd blame
them if the thing went 'poof' in a few months time.
I got thinking one of you guys might be able to help me.
I'm not real techo, but I'm no billygoat, either, so if someone
can give me, in layman's terms, the procedure, I'd be grateful.
Look forward to a response. If you think I should leave the thing
alone, let me know that too. Like others, I use the PC for fiddling
with chess programs, among other things.
