I think you could add some Knps to this as with the Fosters at 2Ghz with the 1Mb
of L3 that's 2 x 1.7 = 3400 that's faster than a quad 900Mhz xenon and with the
xenons being $3692 a piece i'm willing to bet that the dual athlons or P4's will
be the better bet.

I have an 800Mhz athlon and if i upgraded to the Dual 2.Ghz that would be 4.25x
faster and in terms of elo about 150elo which if most programs on an 800Mhz
system are anywhere from 2450-2550 FIDE strength this would mean that most top
programs would be around 2600elo that i find hard to believe because it isn't
an exact science but i do know by comparing Deep Juniors 2702 performance on a
8 way 700Mhz 700x 5.9 = 4130 that's very close ....

Cheaper than an 8 way server too.... does anyone know how much memory and hash
tables they used?
