IMO you can make money, nothing against this, if you have a fair product. and if you behave fair. if you believe making money is "natural" than you are maybe in a situation where your roots have been so deep into capitalism that you cannot think a situation far from capitalism. thats IMO your problem, if you cannot see outside, a fish in a tank, not seeing the water (capitalism) and not capable to see out of the tank. i am not in this tank. and i can see you swim in your money. for me it is NOT natural. its ONE possibility. but not more. life is more for me than money and its NOT natural. > and so is comparing >chessbase to microsoft lol imagine if all the best commercial engines ran under >the same gui ie. (not internet explorer lol just ie.) chessbase how easy and >convienient would that not be? running tournaments would be easyer than ever b4. look. all apllications run in windows. and ? does it help you anyway ?? when it crashes, you have to install it. and when windows crashes you have to install all applications again. and if you have 30 chess programs you have to install all 30 chess programs again. so where is the advantage ? if these 30 chess programs would be dos programs, their files would be in 30 directories, i would be able to install windows again, and without any change of the chess programs, i would not have to install them again, i would be able to use them under the OS Windows. where is my advantage with windows ? I have to wait for any boot when a new application is installed. but WHY ? if the application would be dos, i would not have to wait. where is the advantage of all these dll's and devices spread on my harddisk and NOT in ONE directory. i see no advantage in windows. windows is a pain. we had very good other operating systems before. they were dos. and they allowed me to use my programs. and they made working easier then microsofts windows shit. but bill gates worked with all his power to shut down those companies. the software he sells is not state of the art. its behind hardware development. he is behind hardware. his OS has not changed much. its still the same shit as windows 3.11 was. nothing has been made better. i am sure other companies could have done better, if bill would not have made them bancrott. in the same way i see no advantage in chessbase. the user interfaces are a pain. they do not even do the most primtive features other SAA-interfaces like shredder or even some amateur-programs do. the interface is a pain. you cannot resize the windows, everything is OWN standard. thats shit. shredder is ok. from the beginning stefan designed a very normal and good interface. same with genius interface. if you think different, ok. >No one forces you to eat at mcdonalds, but you don't see the point. with mcdonalds it is the same as with microsoft or chessbase: they are everywhere and suddenly , they destroy the the "natural" cuisine, the normal way people cook and eat, the other operating systems get wiped out, the normal chess programs die out. and then ??? you have to live until you die with a complete shit operating system, because all others have been wiped out or reduced to 2% sellings. you drive to paris and want to eat french, and : you nearly get everywhere big macs instead of nice french cuisine. this is how monopols work. they begin harmless, "natural", but they kill all others in the long distance. windows is not better than dos. it would be much easier to have applications and OS separated from each other and not MIXED like in windows. >unless you are unfortunate to live in a >neighborhood where all the kids have guns and have learned to use them, i know only ONE society where people have the RIGHT to wear weapons. i would not want to live or visit such a society. because i don't think that weapons make life saver, i think it is the opposite. >forcing >you to overpolute the world by driving you down to mcdonalds and force feeding >you happymeals until you can't stop smiling all paid for by microsoft and >chessbase for the remarks you made :-) > >Eeeevil i tell you..... eeeevil > >Spooky regards
