About six weeks ago I bought my Pentium4/1.3Ghz and 128mb
RD ram. I assumed RD, being a later ram, had to be better than
the older SD. I put a post on CCC about how much better RD was than
SD. Several replies came back, saying it was slower. Some of these
guys seem to know what they are talking about, and I trust them.
The PC800 ram you are interested in _may_ be better, but I could'nt
be sure. I'm assuming here that the worth of ram is in it's speed
    Check out www.tomshardware.com
If I could go back, I'd get an Athlon, which is better than the
  Pentium4 of the same clockspeed.
The Pentium4 is supposed to be good for overclocking, but as my
luck has it, I've got an Intel motherboard, which is fixed so it
can't be overclocked :( I found this out just today from a
  technician. I can't win!
I'll wait a while, and RD ram will come down in price, hopefully,
and I'll but another 128mb stick.

I guess a lot of us on CCC are speed freaks with our comps,
can't get enough of it :)
One of the guys here on CCC mentioned that he has a P4 1.5Ghz
overclocked to 1.8Ghz, and with better cpu cooling, is running
cooler than it was at the original 1.5Ghz.
I've waffled on here, thanks for your patience. This thread's
getting old, so you'll be the only one reading it:) See you.
