And besides what Ernst just wrote, if you suspect that the tb's are corrupted,
you can do a 'datacomp' test to verify the integrity of the files. Datacomp is
one of the programs you can also download from Bob's tb dirs. The following is
from a conversation between Dieter Buerssner and yours truly, message 152363:

You are right. A simple workaround may be to type at the DOS prompt in
the TB directory

for %tb in (*.emd) do echo datacomp t %tb >> checkall.bat

and then substitute all "EMD" with "emd >> report.txt" in checkall.bat with an
editor, and after this run the batch. After this read report.txt.
