Yes.I did the same as you..Those who do that are most likely to win..Denying
that you want the job at all seems to be the best strategy..

I voted for John Merlino as well, Uri Blass and oops, I don't remember the last
as well.. ;) So I got zero or at most one as well..

I see no problems with using the same guys who are proven moderators.

Of course, we could ape the American President election system and limit the
number of times [2?] , someone could be moderator, but personally I don't see
the need for it..
