Chess Genius 1.3 for Palm: Public Beta available for download at http://www.chessgenius.com/v13.htm Richard Lang's Chess Genius 1.3 beta for the Palm PDA is now available for public trial. If no significant problems are reported in the next few days, the final version will be posted to the various Internet Palm archives. (e.g.: www.palmgear.com). The Chess Genius home page is: http://www.chessgenius.com/ From the website: " New Features: 1) Permanent brain option: ChessGenius assumes that the human player will play the hint move and calculates its reply whilst waiting. It will play stronger. 2) Preferences/ Players: Analyze game: Like 2 player mode but ChessGenius calculates continuously and shows its thinking on the small board. Useful for replaying games to see where mistakes have been made or for playing over an imported PGN Master game. 3) Tutor Option: Intended for beginners: ChessGenius will warn if a blunder / weak move ( or a brilliant sacrifice! ) is played and give the option of takeback. Bugs in 1.2 now corrected: 1) Problem with Palm III updated to OS3.5 Version 1.2 did not run properly on old Palm III's and Professionals which have been updated to OS3.5. All text was unreadable. 2) Book moves played from set-up positions. Version 1.2 sometimes played book moves on set up positions that were imported as PGN with a FEN header. "
