You can actually play against Chessmaster 2000 (the original version of Chessmaster) by doing the following: In any room, go to "About -> About Chessmaster X000". There will be a slideshow of several dozen pictures on the left of this dialog, changing pictures every 5 seconds. Wait for the picture of the Chessmaster 2000 box to appear, and RIGHT-CLICK anywhere on the picture of the box. This will launch Chessmaster 2000. I might warn you, though, that on some machines, ALT-TABbing away from CM2000 is not a good idea, and can cause visual problems until CM2000 is closed. jm
