DIEP 800PIII 100Mhz 3-3-3 sdram running single cpu at my supermicro was only 10% slower as at a PIII1000 with VIA chipset which performed as a PIII880 for me. Now it can be anything of course which caused this, but i was pretty amazed. Most people blame the VIA chipset or other things, but definitely the chipset was involved as this PIII had 133Mhz RAM versus mine 100Mhz RAM. It would be cool to compare more machines. Actually i'm going to do that next week. Hope to get some accurate test info there about many different VIA chipset machines.
