Not if the tournament "moderator" (i.e. you) tells the users which games to
play. In other words, the tournament feature of CM8000 does not have to be used.

Are there really that many personalities that merit inclusion into this
tournament? I can't remember seeing anybody's list that had more than a few
dozen. Of course, I can understand how you would want to test all possibilities,
including all of the GM personalities; this is a good idea in theory.

But, I might be able to help you a little bit in weeding out some of the GMs
that are less likely to succeed. These are the GM summary results from the
CM6000 testing (note *6000*, as the GMs were not tested for CM8000). The games
were at Fischer 5/3, which is nowhere near tournament time controls, of course,
but you still might be able to find this data useful. If you want the complete
GM results, which show the records for each GM against each other personality
that they played, let me know....
