Well, I don't buy programs that utilize this type of copy protection. Also, I feel cheated, that after I purchase and install the program, I discover this copy protection is being used. It is only fair that any advertisement should include what type or copy protection is used and it certainly should be displayed on the box. To be surprised by downloading a patch that contains copy protection is unforgivable in my opinion. My philosophy is simple. If the program requires the CD to be in the drive (all the time, or occasionally), I do not buy it. Us old farts remember an ongoing argument over copy protection schemes regarding programming languages. At that time it was not proven that copy protection improves the bottom line. I believe the argument to use this type of copy protection is based on false assumptions. Pete
