I agree.  ME creates more problems than it solves.  Win2k is worth the upgrade
but ME has been a total waste.  Driver problems plagued me.  Microsoft couldn't
get XP (the latest attempt to unify the 2 platforms) ready in time so they threw
out their best effort in NT (Win2k) and added a media player, some GUI elements
from Win2k and some bugs to Win98 to get ME.
