You are right, compared with my experiences running my PC with Win98 for 24/7 .... Once the Microsoft boys made a patch that would resolve an "issue" making Win98 crash after 49 days or so..... My personal record (looking at the PC and doing absolutely nothing) is 50 hours up, and most of the times I have to reboot several times a day while working on it - Windows 98 OEM version, all original and legal software, proper drivers, A-class system and peripherals. The "here is you patch so your system won't crash after 49 days" was probably one of the funniest - or maybe most bitter- jokes from Redmont ever. Too bad they don't stay with what they can: building a GUI, but have to build what they cannot: an operating system. Despite the critic the GUI is good and effective. If ever the Windows GUI with the Linux under the hood.... :) J.
