Hi, I bought a new Sony Notebook Computer that came with Windows ME. ME is suppose to be Microsofts latest OS geared for gaming and multimedia. Although I did not experience any problems with any of the major chess programs, it is in my opion not as stable as 98SE. Stupid things like closing multiple windows and or programs fast would always crash ME. I was rebooting all the time. If you like running DOS chess programs, I definately would not recommend ME. It does not support DOS shortcuts that reboot from Windows to DOS. If you can run the DOS program in a window it might work just fine. As for me I am back to Windows 98SE. Regards, Max
