This is a courtesy reply to an out of warranty question:
Regards, B.K.

129,332 bytes. I think someone once mentioned 2 bytes per ply (minus ?? bytes
standard overhead)? My understanding is 128K limit (for moves), so correct me if
that is wrong. Additional opening moves/lines would have taken away from the
ones that are provided. Blame the >= 2600 rated GM's, they are the ones who set
the frequency. Results might be slightly different if polling a database other
than 'CM8KBase'.

With the Chessmaster 8000 opening book tools, 'Best' opening books could be as
common as 'personalities', we just don't need to go there... I did not say my
book was 'Best' by any standard, just that I tried to use some criteria when
making it.

Chessmaster as White will play:
1. d4 Weighted 100
2. e4 Weighted 100
3. Nf3 Weighted 25
4. c4 Weighted 25

As Black Chessmaster can also respond (with book) to
1. f4
2. g3
3. Nc3
