Well, I wouldn't exactly say that you can "delete it with no effect". NLA.DAT
contains all of the audio for the analysis/advice features. So, if you never
want to hear the audio (synchronized to the visual aspects of these features),
then you can delete it.

You could still hear this audio by letting the program pull the data off of the
CD, but that would be noticeably slower.
