The opening book format in CM8000 has a maximum limit of 64K moves (about
65,000). If the PGN file contains too many games (or the "Depth" setting you
used is too high), then you are likely to get this error. Usually, I use a PGN
file with no more than 3000 games, and I set the depth to be 30, if the book is
going to be used as an "all-purpose" book.

If the book is going to be specific to a single opening (i.e. a Sicilian Defense
book), then you can usually go to a depth of 40.
