If the PGN file contains too many games (or the "Depth" setting you used is too high), then you are likely to get this error. Usually, I use a PGN file with no more than 3000 games, and I set the depth to be 30, if the book is going to be used as an "all-purpose" book. If the book is going to be specific to a single opening (i.e. a Sicilian Defense book), then you can usually go to a depth of 40. jm
