Subject: Question about chess and Windows 2000

Hello Everybody !

I am thinking to upgrade my Win.95 system to Windows 2000. I have Celeron 366
and 128 RAM. Yesterday I started Setup of Win.2000 and after examinining my
system it gave the next information:
-some of my Plug-N-Play devices wouldn't support, like OPTI Auxilariary Device,
MPU-401, Sound System.
- there wiuld be unsupported PCI Universal Serial Bus
-some of softwere were disigned for Win.95, so they wouldn't work.

I don't worry about Norton Utilities and some others. But what about chessbase
products and bases with games, Rebel and Tiger etc ? Will everything work OK, or
I'll need to reinstall them all ? I have too many important information for me,
so I can't save all of it on tape or CDs and make full instalation of Win.2000.
Unfortunately I can't find new drivers for my system because it was made from
no-name parts but works OK for many years. As for motherboard and processor, I
upgraded them 2 years ago.
But do I need to upgrade to Win.2000 at all ? Will I feel any improvments in
performance or they are only theoretical ?

Thanks you
Anatoli
