Hello, I found a new terrible bug in the patched (1.02) Chessmaster 8000. It concerns the recognition of move-transpositions in Chessmaster. I analysed this with an opening variant with the help of the Tournament Book from Mr Kostick: 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Sf6 4.Nc3 dxc4 5.a4 Bf5 6.e3 * this is well known. CM 6000 is in book and plays e6. Thats normal. CM 8000 (patched) is out of book with the same opening book!!! Another example: 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.d4 g6 3.c4 Bg7 4.Nc3 d5 5.Qb3 dxc4 6.Qxc4 CM 6000 is in book and plays 0-0. CM 8000 is "out of book"!!! And now the Amazing: The UNPATCHED CM 8000 is NOT out of book in these both variants with the SAME book!!! SO it means, the patched CM 8000 has a new book. I also found some weeks ago the bug in the opening-Editor of CM 8000 AFTER patching, with makes the editor useless in practice. I told John Merlino about the bug in the editor. If this new bug is connected with the editor-bug, i dont know. But this new bug is very bad. It makes the bad opening books in CM 8000 more bad. I hope, John Merlino reads this and a new patch comes soon. CM 8000 need it! Greets AS
