Nimzo's problem (IMHO) has always been that it's too passive. Plays too many
draws. Examples from my own tournaments (40/120):
Millennium Cup 2000: Nimzo 7.32, playoff round, quarter finals and semifinals: 2
wins, 10 draws. Finals: 2 losses, 4 draws.
Chess Madness 2001: Nimzo 8.0, group games: 1 win, 9 draws.
So it doesn't actually score bad, it simply loses to many points in draws.

AFAIK these files need an enormous amount of cache memory to work properly.
Anyone with less than 256 MB will probably not get two of them working at the
same time (except with *lots* of disk I/O). Thus it's reasonable not to have
them active by default.
