Thanks to Mr. Schroeder and Terry the match will continue normally without any
delay, in the absent of Ed Panek and Myself for being away on vacation. Very
soon you should be able to continue to submit your reply to Gambit Tiger II,
since Mr Schroeder should hopefully have the move updated by then. For some
unknown reason three of the participants with the strongest programs did not
participated in the last two votes such as: Deep Fritz, Deep Junior and Deep
Shredder. Now that give people and owner of other good programs a better chance
to win the weekly prize and also the overall prize of the DGT Board. There are
still some very strong humans participating and making very solid moves, and
among the reamining participants there are still people using very strong
programs escially in very long time control such as Rebel Century 3, Fritz 6,
Shredder 5, Chess Academy 6.0, CM8K ,and even gambit Tiger 1, plus some winboard
programs like Crafty 18.3 and Amy 0.7. Again this might be your best week to win
a weekly prize. To my surprise the winboard programs are doing a great job in
longer time control, they are scoring very good so far. Don't miss the
opportunity to win a weekly prize an a chance to win the overall prize during
the entire game for the most points accumulated which started last tuesday.
Finally, for those that of you that think that you don't have a chance against
the Beast Tiger II, the Web won the first game against Gambit Tiger 1.
This simple fact demonstrate that the competition against the Web is of the very
highest caliber, since most people are assisted by very good chess programs
to avoid any serious blunder. I took a moment from my vacation to encourage you
all to continue to send your votes, and to give Gambit Tiger II the ultimate
challenge.
