But every chessprogram in windows where auto232 works on two computers works also on one if you connect the Com ports with a nullmodemcable. They are cheap. Cost under $10. I have tried that on several of my chess windows programs. But it doesn't work on Dos-programs, but there are not so many of them today. There are two ways. One is if both programs have auto 232-port. Then it is only to connect them and make settings. The other way is if it hasn't, but you can load winboard engines as in CM8000. Then you can load cb_auto232c as an engine and that program will connect yuo to the other program that has a connection for auto232. If you have a modem on one of the com ports it is easy to connect a new com card so you get com3. Georg
