See: http://www.kryotech.com Computer Chess is in the news! The following is extracted from the "what's new" web page of MMR, the new supplier to KryoTech of CPU cooling devices. KryoTech, Inc., a privately held spin-off from NCR Corp (NYSE: NCR), is a leader in value-added thermal management of computer systems. KryoTech recently teamed with Bruce Moreland and Digital Equipment Corp (NYSE: DEC) to win the 1997 World Microcomputer Speed Chess Championship in Paris, and demonstrated a 375MHz "Cool K6" workstation prototype in the Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMD) booth at COMDEX. They now have the K6 running at 400MHz. It looks like they are working on getting it up to 600MHz with their next generation of chip coolers! Dave
