Computer Chess is in the news! The following is extracted from the
"what's
new" web page of MMR, the new supplier to KryoTech of CPU cooling
devices.

KryoTech, Inc., a privately held spin-off from NCR Corp (NYSE: NCR),
is a
leader in value-added thermal management of computer systems. KryoTech
recently teamed with Bruce Moreland and Digital Equipment Corp (NYSE:
DEC)
to win the 1997 World Microcomputer Speed Chess Championship in Paris,
and
demonstrated a 375MHz "Cool K6" workstation prototype in the Advanced
Micro
Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMD) booth at COMDEX.

They now have the K6 running at 400MHz. It looks like they are working
on getting it up to 600MHz with their next generation of chip coolers!
