Did you confirm that the database is actually at C:\My Documents\Chessbase\XXXX.cbh after the install?? Then is it really deleted after rebooting? Maybe it's not being installed. Maybe Fritz is getting it off of the CD? Just a suggestion. I installed mine at c:\program files\chessbase\fritz6\database\XXXX with no problems. Jim
