To get CM with more than 1MB hash, one has to create a new personality. So in setup game one chooses this new personality. In the thinking lines one can follow CMs thinking, but here is the trouble: there are three checkboxes, white, black and chessmaster. If white or black is chosen, one can see CMs thinking, also in pb. But if one checks the Chessmaster box, the ORIGINAL CM8000 engine (with 1MB hash) is started ADDITIONALLY and therefore reduces the CPU use of the new CM personality. And that is exactly what happened.
