Bob,

Did I use "md5sum"?  No, I don't know what that is.  There are no instructions
on how to use the files in tbexe.zip.

Which program do I use to test the file, and what are the command lines for it?
That's what I don't know.

By the way, my process for determining that the file "krpkr.nbb.emd" had a
problem was that Fritz6 would abort at startup.  Only by removing the
krpkr.nbb.emd file from my tablebase directory would Fritz start up and run
normally.  [That took quite a while to figure out.]
