The last one we had was at Cape May, the infamous tournament where Deep Thought had to forfeit round 1 to mchess due to a power failure at the Watson lab, but then they rolled everyone else up into a tiny ball and won the event hands down anyway... that tournament almost didn't happen until IBM kicked in money to put it on, otherwise Indianapolis would have been the last. I doubt there will be another, unfortunately. I attended them starting in 1976 (to play, I attended the other 6 while at the acm conferences... was always a lot of fun to sit around and talk chess with the "legends" like Slate, Thompson, Truscott, Schwartz, Marsland, Berliner, etc...
