Subject: Testposition : Defense/Endgame

Author: Peter Berger

Date: 12:27:45 04/13/01

I really like this one ; there are a few engines that can solve it quite fast ,
a few can't solve it at all .

Black is in serious trouble ; keymove 35. ...Rc5 and draw ! This is really
brilliant I think ; it's all about understanding that in a rook ending 4 against
3 pawns on the same wing usually can't win ( at least that's the human
explanation ) .

[D]2r5/R2nk3/1p1r2pp/1R3p2/1N1P4/2pKP1P1/5P1P/8 b - - bm Rc5

This is taken from a game played in 1 hour/10 secs incr/move on 2 PIII500 , 128
MB RAM .
