Subject: Tiger/Fritz GUI install problem

Hi all,

anyone had a problem similar to this:

Just received the Chessbase version of Tiger.
Chose "Custom install" to install the engines only. Worked fine.
Choosing any of the Tiger engines in the Fritz GUI makes it ask for the original
CD, but mine is not accepted ("not the right engine CD").
I uninstalled and ran setup again, now I only have the choice
"Modify/Uninstall/Repair". Choosing "Modify", setup tries to install Tiger to
C:\windows (argh!), which BTW fails after a few files with an "illegal path"
message.
Anyone have an idea how I can either
 - get the engines to recognize the CD or
 - completely remove the application so setup will allow me to install
   again from scratch
(both uninstalling from setup and from Windows properties didn't seem
    to do the trick)
For the record, the system is PIII-550, 256 MB, Win 98.
I tried both the Nimzo 8 and the Deep Fritz GUI to no avail.

I also mailed Chessbase support, but hopefully someone here is quicker...
