Subject: FICS, linux, xboard and timeseal

I am having trouble logging onto FICS under Linux (Mandrake 7.2 and KDE2). The
script below works with ICC, using the relevant decimal address and timestamp
instead of timeseal. It seems to work for FICS, but when I type in my 12
character handle, or indeed just return, FICS sends a message telling me that
names are limited to 17 characters. Everything works without timeseal.

Any help appreciated.

./xboard -zp -ics -icshost 64.71.131.140 -icshelper ./timeseal \
-fcp /home/fp/searcher/searcher/searcher5 \
-fd /home/fp/searcher/searcher -thinking -ponder -size Small \
-zippyPassword beer
