Go up one level in this thread

This group is too busy to be killed by a whacko. If a whacko starts a campaign
here, it's drowned out by all the Chessmaster posts, tournament result posts,
posts asking about hash tables (not the kind they have in Amsterdam), and
speculation about which is the strongest pogram.

If you see a post from someone who doesn't appear to be who they say they are,
do the following:

1) Highlight the URL in your browser's "address" window.
2) Go back to the main index page.
3) Click the "Moderator e-mail" link.
4) Paste the link, write a complaint, and send it.
5) Wait patiently.

Please do not do the following:

1) Argue pointlessly with the guy.
2) Accuse him of being someone else.
3) Personally attack him.
4) Shriek about how the moderators suck because they won't delete his post.
5) Start a new thread complaining vaguely about the guy.

Malevolent people want a reaction, and by doing any of the above, you are giving
him what he wants. You are also making the thread larger and therefore more
noticeable.

And finally, by doing any of the above you are giving the moderators a headache
by causing them to have to figure out how to explain to the whacko that he's the
one in trouble, when someone *else* called *him* something nasty.

You know all this, but if someone else reads this and behaves less stupidly as a
result, the post was worth it.
