Hi, I sitting here and read all the message, try that we all have fun on the next computer chess events. I make all in the last years that people have fun on computer chess tournaments and try that I can say in my News Ticker ... this is the next event and please visit the next event ... here are the games and more information. All this is interesting for people which have interest on computer chess. We have a world champion. The world champion is Shredder and not Tiger or other very strong programs. Your opinion here is interesting for me. Yes, Shredder, Fritz, Tiger, Gandalf and Junior are for me in comp-comp games the best programs. Sorry I have not see enough games with Rebel and Chessmaster. Also this programs are very strong. And we have other programs ... Virtual Chess, Ferret, Chess Wizard, Crafty, Zarkov, Deep Thought, Socrates, Yace and and and It is not the problem from Stefan Meyer Kahlen if only 14 programs play the latest World Championchip in London. Only 14 programs :-((( What is the reason that not so many persons visit a computer chess tournament compare to the first tourneys in Leiden. We are all sitting for the home PC and playing with all this wonderful programs and forget important things. Now a firm with a lot of mony will give a chance that a computer chess program can play against Kramnik. What say other grandmasters about this, also a very important question for me. I think the most grandmasters are playing with Chess-Base software. This products are the products which the most strong chess player have at home. So the chess player can`t understand that not a Chess-Base product is World Champion or the a lot of chess player don`t know Shredder. In the last years more and more Chess player playing with Shredder and make analyses with Shredder. The opinion about Shredder is very good. Also a reason for the most person to say ... my favorite program is a Chess-Base program and I will see Kramnik vs. a Chess-Base program. I am a engine fan :-) My favorite programs are WinBoard and Fritz ! I hope Stefan can create more engine options. But all this is for the moment not important. Enrique is a very nice person. I like Enrique but the idea to play a qualification tourney is not good in my opinion. Now we have a reason to say ... More chess tournaments please or an event in the year with points. This event with 4-8 tournaments. To organize a high quality event is a lot of work and to find the right persons is also not easy. On the other hand ... More and more people find the way to computer chess and this is important. But only we all make a good publicity for computer chess. All this are questions for the future, for the moment is not the question why Shredder can`t play against Kramnik. This is fact, Shredder won all important and big tourneys (not the Dutch-ch, this is right). I hope we all see not money money money ... So I wish me that Shredder`s programmer Stefan Meyer Kahlen play a long match vs. Kramnik. And the World can say ... Look here World Champion vs. World Champion and not Enriques tourney Champion vs. World Champion. I hope that the programmers can understand me. I read here messages from Christophe and from Ed. Yes, the points from Chrisophe and Ed are good but not good enough to say that Shredder can not play against Vladimir Kramnik. Sorry, I can not build an other opinion. Best Frank
