I think the ccc has maybe scared off some people because quite often it becomes quite technical. I think that perhaps there might be a need for two areas on ccc. One could be called "Technical" and the other "General." With a General area you might be able to get more people from rgcc that feel less qualified to talk about computer chess. Or something along that line.
